Critical values for the Stouffer-max probability-pooler
These tables assume you have computed k mutually independent values of z,
each of which has a standard normal distribution under the null hypothesis.
You have ranked the values of z from high to low, and have computed
MeanZ(s,k), the mean of the s top (highest) values of z,
where s is a value you chose. These tables show critical values of
MeanZ(s,k) for s from 2 to 50, k from s to 1000,
and the following 7 values of alpha: .1, .05, .025, .01, .005, .0025, .001. There are
49 separate tables, one for each value of s. Click on the value of s
you want in the grid below. The 49 tables range in size only from 59,142 to
62,117 bytes, so download times should be brief.
