Goldstein Research

Assistant Professor Michael H. Goldstein has been awarded the Young Investigator Award from the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology and the Early Career Contribution Award from the International Society for Infant Studies.

His work on infant vocal learning reaches across disciplines, in the fields of animal behavior, bioacoustics, and human developmental psychology. To the best of anyone?s recollection, no one has ever won both awards before.

Goldstein says, "receiving recognition from both groups is an indication of the power of a comparative approach to communicative development."
